N and CF received a nice surprise from a Monkey :)

Monkey's from Mythicalmonkey Blogspot has passed onto me the "7x7 Link Award.". These are always fun to receive and pass on to our fellow blogger friends.

The 7x7 Link Award rules are:

* Tell everyone something that no one else knows about.
* Link to one of my posts that I personally think best fits the following categories: Most Beautiful Piece, Most Helpful Piece, Most Popular Piece, Most Controversial Piece, Most Surprisingly Successful Piece, Most Underrated Piece, and Most Pride-worthy Piece
* Pass this award on to seven other bloggers

Tell everyone something that no one else knows about.

I love/love the reality television game show Survivor, which travels to different countries around the world. The contestants live in the wilderness and compete for rewards. The show has the contestants vote off other tribe members until  there is only one "Sole Survivor".

1) Most Beautiful Piece: Sharon Tate Bio.

I think she was a very talented actress, who was on her way to becoming a huge film star.

2) Most Helpful Piece: I really do not think I have any helpful pieces. Maybe, the closest would be..
the Beep beep m beep beep yeah series .

3) Most Popular Piece In terms of hits: Breakfast At Tiffanys(1961)

A Romantic comedy, I watch every Valentines Day.. Cast: Audrey Hepburn, George Peppard, Patricia Neal, Buddy Ebsen, Martin Balsam, and Mickey Rooney.

4) Most Controversial Piece: Pre-code Trouble In Paradise (1932).

Pre-Code/romantic/comedy film. Cast: Miriam Hopkins, Kay Francis and Herbert Marshall, and features Charles Ruggles, Edward Everett Horton and C. Aubrey Smith. To my surprise.. I learned that Miriam Hopkins, would not win a popularity contest..

5) Most Surprisingly Successful Piece:  My Happy Birthday Rita Hayworth post.

One of the great beauties of her era, who was also a very talented actress, dancer, and comedian.

6) Most Underrated Piece: A 6 Part Bette Davis Bio.

7) Most Pride-Worthy Piece:  The most fun piece I put together was the Blond Bombshells.

  3. Congratulations Dawn, this is a great opportunity to get to know you a little better. I'm a huge fan of Downton Abbey, but I can't say I ever warmed up to Miriam Hopkins.

  4. I watch almost zero current television. (I ditched American Idol this season, so pretty much all is watch is The Amazing Race, The Sandwich King, and Food Network competition shows.) But I LOVE LOVE LOVE "Downton Abbey." My daughter got me hooked on it last year, so I bought her season 1 for Christmas and Season 2 for her February birthday. I am definitely ready for season 3!!!

I haven't seen alot of Miriam Hopkins films, so I don't know much about her.

I definitely need to go back and read your Rita Hayworth piece, as she has recently made it onto my top 20 list. I think she was SO gorgeous....though I wanted to throttle her (and Ty Power) in BLOOD AND SAND.

Hope you're having a great day.
