Videos: Alice in Wonderland.
Alice in Wonderland is a (1903) British silent film directed by Cecil Hepworth and Percy Stow. It is the first movie adaptation of Lewis Carroll's children's book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
The film is memorable for its special effects, including Alice's shrinking in the Hall of Many Doors, and in her large size, stuck inside of White Rabbit's home, reaching for help through a window.
Lewis Carroll's classic novel, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1915). The creatures Alice encounters I really did not remember from the story. The Mad Hatter's tea party is also missing, which is something of a surprise. This being a silent film makes it seem dream like or maybe even a nightmare..
This is the original (1951) theatrical trailer for Walt Disney's "Alice In Wonderland".
Alice in Wonderland ( 2010 ) fantasy adventure film directed by Tim Burton, written by Linda Woolverton, and starring Mia Wasikowska, Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway, Crispin Glover, Michael Sheen, and Stephen Fry, and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It is an extension of the Lewis Carroll novels Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass, and the film uses a technique of combining live action and 3D animation.
I thought it was interesting to see how much the beloved, Alice in Wonderland movies, have changed over the years.

Dawn, I would love to see the silent film of Alice in Wonderland. I loved that book as a child and still do. You know, you are right. Just from the pictures, it does seem to have the quality of a nightmare. Interesting review!
