Flight Overdue. Aired: March 28 1952. An internationally famous woman pilot is secretly recruited for a flight over the Pacific against her husband's wishes.
Years after she disappears, her heartbroken husband is informed of her true mission and her ultimate fate.
Veronica Lake, gave a wonderful performance as Paula. Although... you may have a hard time recognizing her. It seems to me this TV episode is loosely based on Amelia Earhart story. Veronica even looks like Amelia. But ...I can not find any information saying that my believes are true.
