SALLY O' NEIL- Silent Film Star.


Sally O'Neil,  film actress of the 1920s. One of her sisters was actress Molly O'Day. Sally started her career in vaudeville, known as "Chotsie Noonan". She performed with Constance Bennett and Joan Crawford in the film Sally, Irene and Mary (1925), directed by Edmund Goulding, which brought her instant, but short-lived, fame. She performed with Crawford again as a WAMPAS Baby Star (1926). By the late 1930s her film career was over, but continued on stage and did tourings with the USO until the 1950s.
