It is time for me to "fight like a girl"!! I have breast cancer. I go to see the surgeon April 30th. Hopefully, I will be back to blogging in a month or two..
Sending good vibes your way! I'll be sad to see the blog go dark but you take all the time you need to get better, us bloggers will keep the world of classic film covered for you! Get better soon!
I can't say "been there, done that" because my cancer was a little lower. Eww!
When I was fighting the good fight, it helped me to hear success stories so let me tell you that 10 years ago I wasn't given much hope and last month my oncologist said she doesn't even need to see me any more!
Stay positive, follow orders and stay positive.
Don't hold back from blogging if you happen to feel the urge. It's part of what makes you the special woman you are and that won't change just because you have more medical personnel in your life than usual.
We're all rooting for you, Dawn, and know that you can lick this thing! Please take care of yourself. Sending you only the best thoughts and wishes for your quick recovery!
It's very difficult to find words that are adequate in a situation like this. Like everyone else I'll be thinking about you and wishing you well. Keep in touch!
I am very proud of the fact that on your blog, you have decided to make your fight againist breast cancer so public when so many others are afraid to get tested, and afaid to get treatment. I'm 100% sure, doing nothing will kill you.
Wishing you all the luck in the world - it CAN be beaten (I know)- keep thinking positive thoughts and I look forward to reading your blog in the near future.
You have a whole blogging community providing support. Stay positive. Line up some of your favorite movies to watch -- the escape into something you love will aid in your recovery.
Dawn, my best wishes to you for an easy surgery and a quick recovery. Your friends at CMBA, as well as the blogging community, hold you in their thoughts and are concerned for your welfare. Take good care of yourself, and when you feel ready, post a note on your page to let us know how you are doing.
Wishing you all the best as you march towards wellness again. My mom is a vibrant, healthy, 13-year breast cancer survivor, so I know you can do this. I'm looking forward to your triumphant return!
Dawn, Make sure to laugh as much as possible. Ciders in So Cal makes this a very important part of their treatment program. Joann and I are praying for your complete healing.
A little late, but I'll add my thoughts to the others.
One piece of advice - if you have any questions or doubts or concerns about anything, ask the doctors. Don't be shy about being a "troublemaker" or "looking stupid". This is your health and no question should go unasked.
I'm praying for you Dawn and I know you will get through this. You were my first friend here in blogland and you are truly an amazing woman. I will do my part and post as much as I can on here. So don't worry about anything. You just take care of yourself.
Dawn, I just got the news of your breast cancer this morning! Having had friends and loved ones with cancer (most of who beat that rotten S.O.B. cancer, thank God -- not to put the whammy on it!), all of us here at Team Bartilucci H.Q. While we're sad you have to endure this ordeal, we also know you're a fighter as well as an optimist, and we're rooting and hoping and praying you'll be kicking cancer's butt, big time! If we can help in other ways, please let us know. Hugs, confidence, and courage to you and all who love you from all of us here!
Dawn, I'm sending good wishes and good vibes your way. I had breast cancer in 2008 and had a mastectomy so now I walk around minus a boob. Big deal. The important thing is stay strong, stay angry and do everything you can to beat this pain in the ass thing. It is very do-able.
Most important, GET ENOUGH REST. Treat yourself with kindness.
Dawn, you are one of my first friends in movie blogging, and I cherish that. My prayers are with you always. We need our Betty Boop back as soon as possible!
Dawn - I hope all is well and positive, as you are one girlie girl we need to keep around!!
