Marilyn Monroe film to open New York film festival.

Actress Michelle Williams, stars as Marilyn Monroe in a film about Marilyn Monroe's time in England in 1956. It will premiere during the two-week festival on the 9th of October.

Directed by Britain's Simon Curtis, the film is based on a week that British writer Colin Clark spent with Monroe filming the romantic comedy, while on honeymoon with her husband, playwright Arthur Miller.

  1. I'd heard about this movie, but forgot - thanks for the reminder, Dawn...I have to admire any actress who has the nerve, guts and whatever else it takes to portray one of the greatest film icons in history...daunting!

  2. This may make it or break it for actress, Michelle Williams. I hope she is amazing performing as, Marilyn Monroe
