  1. Monty, it was nice to see Will Geer's picture this morning -- I always loved him as Grandpa Walton. He was a good actor in general, especially good in Jeremiah Johnson, but he will always be Grandpa Walton to a whole generation of people. My family was so much like the Waltons, believe ir or not -- we were not country people, but there were 7 of us kids, parents who loved each other, very special grandparents we spent a lot of time with -- I've heard some people laugh at the Waltons now, but such a life did happen. And Will Gere was such a center of that family.

Thanks, Monty, for remembering Will Geer.

  2. Monty, Awesome! Birthday tribute to Will Geer, who always seemed to be a very happy man. Like Becky, I also come from a large family and enjoyed watching the Waltons. The film, Broken Arrow, is one of my favorite westerns, mostly because it was filmed in, Sedona, AZ.

  3. Hi Dawn, I just bought the Waltons Season 1 on DVD. I haven't watched any episodes yet, but have always heard good things about it. It's fun to discover new shows. Best, Tom

  4. Tom, You will really like Will Geer's, character, he was so cute and funny. I agree... It is fun to discover new shows. When the show Seinfeld, was on, I never watched it. But, now that it is in reruns, it is one of my favorite shows.

  5. Dawn, I never liked Sienfeld (or Friends) I watched a few episodes but there were always so many sex jokes, who's sleeping with who, etc. I guess I'm just old fashioned.
