Rudy Vallee (July 28, 1901 – July 3, 1986) was an American singer, actor, bandleader, and entertainer.
Edward Kirk Herrmann (born July 21, 1943), is a television and film actor. He is best known for his Emmy-nominated portrayals of Franklin D. Roosevelt on television, and to younger generations for his role as Richard Gilmore in Gilmore Girls, as a ubiquitous narrator for historical programs on the History Channel, and as the spokesperson for Dodge automobiles in the 1990s.
Theres a definite resemblance.
ReplyDeleteLast time I saw Edward Herrmann (that I remember) was in Peter Bogdanovich's THE CAT'S MEOW - in which he was playing Wm. Randolph Hearst. He looks far more like Rudy Vallee than "Pops"!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could have found a younger picture of Edward Kirk Herrmann, to compare with Rudy Vallee.
ReplyDeleteMaybe not so much in their respective younger days. Here's Edward Herrmann from the Disney film "North Avenue Irregulars".
