ON TCM: Monday, June 14th. A Dorothy McGuire Birthday tribute. TCM will present a 7 film tribute to the actor.
ON TCM:Wed. June 16th. This Time for Keeps. This Time for Keeps (1947) Romantic/ musical. Cast: Esther Williams, Jimmy Durante, Johnnie Johnston and Lauritz Melchior. Director: Richard Thorpe. The film was shot in color on location at the Grand Hotel, on Mackinac Island in Michigan. This Time for Keeps became the second film in which William's name was first billed above the title, after Fiesta. Click picture on side bar to read movie review.
ON TCM: Wed. June 16th. Legend of Lylah Clare (1968).The Legend of Lylah Clare is a 1968 film. Director: Robert Aldrich. Cast: Kim Novak (pictured above), Peter Finch and Coral Browne.
ON TCM: Thur. June 17th. Camille (1936). Camille is a 1936 American romantic drama film directed by George Cukor and produced by Irving Thalberg and Bernard H. Hyman, from a screenplay by James Hilton, Zoe Akins and Frances Marion. The picture is based on the 1852 novel and play La Dame aux Camélias by Alexandre Dumas. The film stars Greta Garbo, Robert Taylor, Lionel Barrymore, Elizabeth Allan, Jessie Ralph, Henry Daniell, and Laura Hope Crews.
