THIS WEEK on NOIR AND CHICK FLICKS:

This week showing on Noir and Chick Flicks at the movies. (Located on the sidebar): ORPHANS OF THE STORM (1921). Cast: Gish sisters, Lillian and Dorothy.(pictured above) Set in late 18th century France, during the French Revolution. This was the last Griffith film to feature Lillian and Dorothy Gish, and is considered Griffith's last commercial success. The film is about class conflict and a better understanding against hatred. The costumes and some of the hairstyles are amazing. Look for Kim 's review on Noir and Chick Flicks: Period Film page. Welcome Kim :)
Look for last weeks movie: THE MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH (1934), review, here on the home page. :)
