  1. Dawn, I love Gloria. one of my favorites is The Greatest Show on Earth where she trades" one liners"with Chuck Huston . The Best one being ... after asking his charter Brad if he wants to bite something tells him him to,"Well Pick your Spot". How that get by The Hayes Office? Got to love it. LOL.

  2. Paul, That is funny. My favorite Gloria performance is in The Big Heat. My favorite line in the film is when Debby Marsh says: The main thing is to have the money. I've been rich and I've been poor. Believe me, rich is better. ;D

  3. Dawn ,Yeah thats a favorite line. I've never ever seen Gloria give a bad performance, and she's flat out amazing with Boggie in A Lonely Place. Directed by her than husband Nicholas Ray.

  4. Paul, I think the film Lonely Place, Bogart plays probably his darkest character. I loved the ending.

  5. Gloria Grahame always had that air of coolness about her. Even in her role in The Bad and the Beautiful, that undercurrent of coolness was there. She could give Steve McQueen a run for his money on that.

  6. Purple, I don't think Steve could "keep up" with Gloria in the Cool Department. Watch her in Macao with Robert Mitchum . Looks like a tie (OK may be Gloria wins) to me)
