Bubbles(1930): with young birthday girl Judy Garland.

In this movie short, Judy Garland(age7), who was known as Baby or Frances Gumm, is performing with her older sisters (Mary Jane Gumm, Virginia Gumm). This may have been her film debut. The future Betty Boop (Helen Kane)sang at the beginning.

  2. Judy sure was cute, but I wonder what happened to the rest of them? Especially that gruff-voiced litte 'comet'!!

  4. According to the Judy Garland Database, Judy's screen debut was in "The Big Revue." I've seen it on YouTube, which the uploader amusingly called "The Big Revenue." The quality of the clip you posted is much better, though! Another clip that unfortunately seems to have disappeared features the sisters singing "La Cucaracha" with a ghastly gringo accent.
