You should look out for auction houses and galleries who have not only been around a long time, but have given specialty collections by celebrities themselves. Two of the best auction houses specialising in hollywood memorabilia that come recommended are Profiles in History and Julien's Auctions.Thisishollywoodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17143562848358699188noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1668690844478666903.post-23997420902003912252011-06-21T05:19:41.030-07:002011-06-21T05:19:41.030-07:00Page.. I bet she is smiling all the way to the bank.. I know I would be. :)

Life is beautiful, Hopefully.. We will see the dresses again..Dawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03476174860119487509noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1668690844478666903.post-36187381663061156022011-06-20T15:57:34.510-07:002011-06-20T15:57:34.510-07:00That is cool in a way that they are auctioning off...That is cool in a way that they are auctioning off the original clothing from these classic movie actresses. Sad for the movie actresses even though they passed, I think instead of auctioning off their clothing a relative should store it in their home instead of having someone buy it & wear it.Alessandrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15725636858175014073noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1668690844478666903.post-34676709812904609812011-06-20T15:50:51.963-07:002011-06-20T15:50:51.963-07:00I feel for Debbie Reynolds for having to sell her ...I feel for Debbie Reynolds for having to sell her incredible collection. I had no idea what a fine collection she'd put together until the auction became news. I posted a blog yesterday that happened to have a picture of Marilyn Monroe in the white dress from "The Seven Year Itch" - and later found out that dress sold for $4.6 mil. in the auction. I think I read that Debbie paid $200 for it. FlickChick says, and I agree, that she hopes Debbie does well enough that she doesn't have to work another day in her life. The Lady Evehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11963115499930520653noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1668690844478666903.post-88075579930469661402011-06-20T13:17:00.965-07:002011-06-20T13:17:00.965-07:00Dawn,

I got more and more depressed as I watched it unfold but trying to think positive. I got even sadder when I went to buy one of the auction catalog's and the were sold out! Now people are hawking them on Ebay for over $100 each already.
PagePagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15063277863578004836noreply@blogger.com
